Horse Massage

I am nationally certified as an equine sports massage therapist. I was taught by Mary Schreiber of Equissage in Round Hill Virginia (near Leesburg).

Unlike human massage, where we are prompted to take it easy when it is over, a horse can be turned out, do a lesson, enter the show ring. They can fully function right away.

And like a human massage, the horse is encouraged to drink water when the massage is over, but “you can lead a horse to water…” it is not essential.

Horses and dogs can lovingly take on their human’s issues. And the horse can show this in its body language when I am with them. I do not call myself an animal communicator, however I do sometimes pick up pictures, words, impressions. And if their human is interested, I share the clues and we chat about it. The fun part is that the clue is most often a metaphor for us to play with.
